This full-day conference offers an exclusive forum for neurotechnology
executives and entrepreneurs to interact with investors, technologists,
and potential partners who are actively working to grow this new and
exciting industry. The schedule of presentations and panel discussions
features a host of experts with a wealth of information on the neurotechnology
industry and the investment community.
Sessions will cover a range of technologies and market segments in the
neuro space, including neuromodulation, neural prostheses, neurodiagnostics,
and neurostimulation. Attendees will hear from some of the leading researchers
and entrepreneurs developing clinically and commercially promising products
such as cochlear implants, stroke rehabilitation devices, implanted
pain stimulators, neural-computer interfaces, and advanced brain sensing
technologies.
A morning panel discussion on the VC outlook for neurotechnology features
representatives of some of the leading venture capital firms active
in the neuro space. The panelists will discuss critical issues such
as the relative strengths and weaknesses of devices and bio/pharma approaches
to neurological disorders, the current investment climate in the neuro
space, and key factors in obtaining funding for neurotechnology startups.
Two other morning panel discussions are devoted to market opportunities
for neurostimulation and neurodiagnostics. An afternoon session is devoted
to the topic of neurotech spinoffs and university/industry partnerships.
Neurotech Business Report editors James Cavuoto, Warren Grill, and Glenn
Cornett will moderate panel discussions. The forum will also feature
presentations from several early-stage neurotechnology firms covering
a range of product and technology areas.
