The Continuation of an Era
by James Cavuoto, editor
By now, many of our readers will have heard the news that Neurotech Reports has been acquired by Cambridge Innovation Institute. We want to let you all know what that means for readers of this publication and attendees at our conferences.
And the bottom line is that our being part of a larger organization with experience and expertise in healthcare industry publications and conferences can only benefit our readers, attendees, sponsors, and staff. Rest assured, this editor, along with my colleagues Jeremy Koff, JoJo Platt, Victor Pikov, and Sharena Rice, will continue to contribute articles and help organize conference sessions.
But we will now be joined by a team of publication and conference professionals who can help us perform many of the day-to-day tasks that are essential for a growing organization such as Neurotech Reports.
We are particularly excited by Cambridge Innovation Institute’s series of publications and events for the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. For many years, we have endeavored to inform the bio/pharma community of opportunities for partnership with neuromodulation firms and our sister publication, BioElectRx Business Report, was launched in large part to explore commonalities and between the two worlds in the emerging market for bioelectronic medicine.
Our upcoming Bioelectronic Medicine Forum in New York City on April 14 will be our first opportunity to work hand-in-hand with our new partners and several CII staff members will be with us at the New York Academy of Medicine.
We would like to thank all of our colleagues who have expressed support and congratulations to us in person or over social media. And we want to thank you, our readers, for staying with us over the last 25 plus years as we have covered the translation of medical technology to commercial products in the neurotech industry. We would like to think that this merger does not represent an end of an era, but rather, a continuation of the translation process that we have witnessed as the neurotech industry has grown and matured.
