January 31, 2024 | Neurotech Reports, the publisher of this newsletter, announced the winners of the 2023 Gold Electrode Awards during the 2023 Neurotech Leaders Forum, which took place in November in San Francisco.
The award for best new product went to Neuromod Devices for its Lenire system for treating tinnitus. The award for most promising startup went to Salvia BioElectronics, which is developing a new minimally invasive neuromodulation system for migraine. The award for most valuable financial professional went to Sue Siegel of The Engine, for her efforts to help startups get off the ground. The award for most useful nonprofit was presented to the huMannity Medtec, formerly the Alfred Mann Foundation for Scientific Research. The award for neurotechnology researcher of the year was given to Prasad Shirvalkar of UC San Francisco for his work identifying potential pain biomarkers in the brain.
The awards were selected by the editors of Neurotech Reports.
