December 15, 2015 | Neurotech Reports, the publisher of this newsletter, announced the winners of the 2015 Gold Electrode Awards. The awards were presented at the 2015 Neurotech Leaders Forum in San Francisco on November 2.
The Gold Electrode Award for Best New Product was presented to Nevro Corp. for its Senza SCS. The device, which uses high-frequency stimulation for parasthesia-free pain neuromodulation, was approved by the FDA earlier this year.
The award for Most Promising Startup was presented to Circuit Therapeutics, an optogenetics startup that recently received an award from the DARPA ElectRx program. The Award for Most Valuable Non-Profit was presented to Conquer Paralysis Now. The award for Outstanding Financial Professional was presented to Stephanie Fertig for her work with NINDS’ small business program. The award for Neurotechnology Researcher of the Year was presented to Dan Rizzuto of University of Pennsylvania for his work on DBS for memory disorders.
