Neurotech Reports Announces Winners of Gold Electrode Awards

The editors of Neurotech Reports selected recipients of the 2009 Gold Electrode Awards in five categories. The awards were presented at the 2009 Neurotech Leaders Forum in Newport Beach, CA earlier this month.

The award for Most Promising Startup went to Ardian Inc., a hypertension neuromodulation firm in Palo Alto, CA. St. Jude Medical Neuromodulation won the award for Best New Product for its Brio DBS system. The award for Most Valuable Nonprofit went to Neurotech Network, while the award for Most Useful Financial Professional was given to Joseph Pancrazio of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, recognizing his efforts to help nurture new neurotechnology firms.

The 2009 Gold Electrode award for Neurotechnology Researcher of the Year went to Robert Levy of the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.
